SMART TOILET WITH AMAZON 'S ALEXA INSIDE CAN NOW BE YOURS

Have you ever sat on the toilet, avoiding everyone in the house, and thinking, “I wish Alexa were in here with me?” That is, apparently, what the designers of the Kohler Numi 2.0 Smart Toilet were thinking when they made this USD$11,500 masterpiece.

Kohler first showed off the Numi 2.0 at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) back in 2018, and not a whole lot has changed from that initial introduction. It still has Alexa built in, and it still has lots of LED lights and speakers. Any guests who visit your restroom will certainly know that you appreciate the tech-y things in life.

However, there does not appear to be a warning built into the toilet, telling users Alexa is listening to their private moments, so as a courtesy, you might post a tasteful little warning sign near the toilet paper dispenser.

The Numi 2.0 has all of the features one expects from a super-expensive smart toilet; it is similar to those made by the Japanese company Toto. That means a bidet that can wash both front and back parts, UV lights for cleaning the bidet, as well as control over the temperature, the position, and the pressure of the bidet. It also has a self-cleaning bowl, auto-flushing, auto-deodorizing, a heated seat, an air dryer, and an emergency, extra, back-up flush for those big “problems.” The remote control, however, sticks to the wall instead of being on the side of the toilet, as with most Toto toilets; you will have to clean the remote yourself.

Most importantly for anyone who has ever lived with a person who leaves the lid up — it has a lid that automatically opens and closes.

Picture this: in the dark, as you walk up to Numi 2.0, the built-in nightlight helps to guide you; the lid opens and treats you to a warm seat, and when you walk away, it flushes and closes.

The integrated LED and surround-sound features are managed by the Kohler Konnect app.

Use the Kohler Konnect app also to program personalized pre-set toilet patterns for different users. Then, you can use your voice to access your private toilet preferences because there are, no doubt, differences between what you, your spouse, and your children want when they use the Numi 2.0.

Even when you are not using the Numi 2.0, its lighting and sound features can still create a bathroom ambiance personalized just for you. Ask Alexa to access your own playlist of songs or change the color of the lighting.

Just to review, all this toilet pampering can be yours for only USD$11,500. But is that really too much to pay for a smart toilet that can enrich your most private moments with the perfect music, lighting, and comfort accompaniments?
